Birthday Parties

Birthday parties are tailored to each audience, either for a specific age group or mixed ages. Adult birthday parties are definitely encouraged. Adults like to have fun too! The birthday person will receive individual recognition and lots of attention to celebrate their special day. For those shy little people, Cuddles, a puppet and Loonie’s best friend, will often make his appearance. This is a wonderful way to gain a child’s interest in joining in the fun. To create a party with a difference - why not consider having your guests make their very own balloon sculpture, learn a magic trick or juggle?

Interactive stories for birthday parties are specifically written for Loonie. Children delight in being part of the story where they create the actions and sounds to bring the story alive.

Theme Parties
Whether your theme is Valentine’s Day, Christmas, bugs, snakes, etc., Loonie will create a special programme to fit with your theme.

Loonie Stamp
A memory for the young and the young at heart (until you wash). Yes, we are all children at heart. Requests have been received to have one of Loonie’s stamps placed on their hands, foreheads, etc. Loonie likes to use her stamp to remind people that it is important to SMILE. A simple smile given creates great things. Both the receiver and the giver feels good and it doesn’t cost anything. BE SURE TO ASK TO GET STAMPED!

Small Or Large Groups
From small intimate parties to outdoor events, Loonie can provide various types of entertainment for your guests. If the function is very large, Loonie does have friends she would love to bring along.

Seniors Events
Loonie has gained a reputation for her love of spending time in the senior community. Entertainment is created to meet the need of the group and event. As experience has proven, the senior’s groups love to sing; so Loonie always strives to save time in the programme to “harmonize” (sort of – Loonie’s Toon is always a little off!). While the seniors enjoy what Loonie gives them, Loonie always feels that she receives far more than she gives. Loonie is thankful for the lessons learned from her senior friends, and for all their hugs.

Long Term Care Facilities
Loonie is drawn to working in the senior community. Special programmes are designed to meet the needs of each group and the event. The response to Cuddles, one of Loonie’s puppets, has been very positive in creating a more responsive and fun atmosphere, especially in nursing homes. Seniors relate to the human-like quality of Cuddles, and the response to the sense of touch is overwhelming. Loonie leaves every venue enriched by the touch and hugs exchanged.
